This is the site where all your questions about one of Mardi Gras’ most fun parties - the BLT are answered.

First the basics, BLT stands for Black tie Lingerie or Toga. As you might have already guessed, this is a costume party. You should be wearing one of the above outfits in order to gain admittance to the party. It is suggested that men wear a Tuxedo top and underwear bottoms. Women should be dressed in lingerie. The term lingerie can range anywhere from long sleeve flannel pajamas to thong bikini underwear and everything in between, but of course the sexier the better ;-) Either sex can come in a toga. For some costume examples please visit the BLT pictures section.  Please try to adhere to these costume suggestions. If, however, circumstances dictate that you can not, we will let you in in your underwear. We have a “pants check” at the door where you can safely leave you outer garments to be picked up after the party. Under no circumstances will anyone be admitted in “street clothes”.  It would not be fair to all of the other people who spent the time and effort to dress up or down as the case may be.

Second, I know many of you have been wondering whether or not there will be a BLT party for 2006. We are trying very hard to find a location for this year’s party.  Our usual host the Landmark Hotel is closed for repairs through March-April. If there is a BLT for 2006 it will most likely be $10 admission at the door and not the usual $60 committee member donation. So please do not send me $60 Paypal payments at this time.
